2017 Ian Clemens Foundation Scholarship

Award Eligibility:              

One $1000.00 Scholarship

A graduating senior from a Livonia Public High School

(Churchill, Franklin, or Stevenson)

Requirement Checklist:    

Acceptance at an accredited four-year public Michigan university with an accredited Engineering Program (Letter of Acceptance must be included with application). Proof of enrollment required prior to disbursement of funds.

                                           

Counselor to verify ACT and or SAT test scores showing minimum ACT composite of 32 or SAT composite of 1400. (Please include counselor’s verification letter with completed packet)

 

Counselor to verify transcript showing academic performance of a minimum 3.9 or higher.

(Please include counselor’s verification letter with completed packet)

 

Considerations will be given for involvement in extra curricular activities, community service and employment. (Use format provided on the student application)

 

Two letters of recommendation are required; one must be from a teacher, and one must be from an individual (non-relative / non-LPS employee) outside of school. Please limit each recommendation letter to one page in length.

 

Essay Requirement: On a separate sheet of paper, please write an essay that responds to the question: “How do I plan to make a positive difference in the world through my personal and professional life as an engineer?” The essay must be at least 500 words in length, typed, and double-spaced on letter-sized (8.5 by 11 inch) paper.
